Quality assurance and quality management (QM)

Quality management in medicine has gained great importance in recent years. After intensive preparation, the Ambimed day clinic decided in 2011 to introduce quality management in accordance with the ISO standard 9001:2008.

In 2011 and 2012, our facility was able to obtain ISO 9001:2008 certification for the first time. As part of the recertification, we certified ourselves according to the ISO standard 9001:2015 in 2016. Quality management is now an integral part of the work in the Ambimed day clinic.

We are convinced that the QM system supports us in the implementation of our guiding principle effectively and professionally.

In the Ambimed day clinic, the employees responsible for hygiene and their deputies carry out the following key tasks, among others:

• Monitoring the implementation of hygiene requirements in the company
• Ensuring the professional training and education of employees to meet hygiene requirements
• Review of national standards, guidelines and relevant legal regulations regarding hygiene safety requirements.

In order to achieve these goals, the employee responsible for hygiene and their deputy create binding plans for the individual areas of the facility, which are visible and understandable to every employee. In addition, hygiene in the Ambimed day clinic is integrated into the quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015 , so that risk management measures and continuous improvement processes also apply here.

Every year, the Ambimed day clinic also has a microbiological assessment of the area surrounding the operating area carried out. The Competence Center for Hygiene at EnzlerHygiene AG was commissioned to do this. So-called impression and impression tests were carried out. Overall, the results show that the operating area is in a very well disinfected condition.
